Added 105mm Top and 103 mm TB

Added 105mm Top and 103 mm TB Katech

I changed the stock 92mm Throttle Body today. It was very simple and even know it says calibration required, so far no check engine light on first drive. I plan on holding off on my next tune. I will be adding NOS plate bracket, stand alone fuel system and stand alone purge system. The nos system will be done in stages over the next three months to coincide with spring track opening.

Next project is to add air to fuel gauge, I did get the bung put into header collector this morning before TB change.

Test ride revealed smooth quicker acceleration with an even greater exhaust tone.

Almost forgot, I could not line up my sheet metal front snorkel that will mate with my hood scoop. I need to drill a new hole and a diff location for MAF sensor. I will be doing that shortly.

Have you considered a pod filter instead of a cone filter? It might offer you more room. Perhaps not a filter as big as this one but, I think it shows the example I’m looking for.

Thanks for suggestion but I am set on hooking up the front snorkel type air flitter to act as a ram air system with the Copo hood.

Looks cool - good luck with the NOS

I just read about a guy running 150ahit with e85 and no issues with fuel.
Something about 36*

The stand alone fuel system is being promoted by my exhaust guy. Not because the car can’t support more then 150 shot which I am planning on doing. It’s his belief to keep it simple and very tight so no errors with the NOS.

Standalone is a wise choice.

I gained 10 HP above a ported TB with the Katech 103MM. Car also drove smoother.

Good to hear 10 HP, I am hoping for a few more with my set up but everything adds up in the end. Did you have any check engine lights come on after install and did you think u required a tune?

With your manifold, you will probably gain more. It was tuned after install, so can't address check engine light.

Looks like I should set my eyes on the Katech TB instead of the ported TB option.

You should total get the Katech, I don’t have the numbers yet for improvement but the sound and acceleration feels much better. I am in White Rock, drop by on a nice day when it’s a bit warmer.

It should provide + gains if you have an MSD IM.
