So either this is the lower grade (cheaper) standard SS, or that is a 1LT V6 interior. Its the same button layout and location with smaller screen than what is in my 2018 1SS Camaro. In my car, the buttons are different, and closer to the screen.

I googled "2016 Camaro 1LT interior" and this looks just like that plus you can see there is no 8" screen in front of the driver

So again...anyone believe this will be the cheaper base SS, or just a 1LT V6 (has quad tips)

Not seeing much of a difference body wise to be honest. Inside looks the same as well.

I don't think its a SS because the shifter end cap is not red, unless they were trying to save money over the red ones. That is a smaller screen for sure, i would put my money on V6 .

I'm pretty sure its the SS because of the wing. I don't think the V6 or V4 is getting the wing.

Look at the tach. No LT1 has a redline that high. That's a redline from 7-8K from what I can tell.

I don’t think a test mule will have EVER feature of the actual production model

Maybe they're offering some of the accessories from the V8 on the V6. Or possibly a cheaper version of the SS as mentioned already.

I read they were thinking about coming out with more affordable models to boost sales.

Tail lights are back to the separate doubles but boring imo. I actually like the current versions better with the led light pipes.

well it's been confirmed that the 2019 6.2 truck will feature a new 6.2, with an AFM type system that allows it to run on one cylinder.

From what I understand an private engineer made light modifications to the existing 6.2 and got it to run on one cylinder, and then sold the idea to GM. So it sounds like it may not be necessary for an entirely new motor. It's probably pretty close to the current motor with minor valvetrain hardware and software tweeks, but there might be a power bump. That's all speculation though.

I don't see why the camaro would not get the same upgrades.
Not sure I would consider that "an upgrade"
