You have 40% of the market GM. get the weight down, but doin't make the same mistake like you did in the past. The 1969 is the car that is the corner stone of the COMARO line just ask Berret Jackson or Macum auction houses. and if people want futurestic and like Audi then let them buy EUROPIEN. they probably wouldnt by GM. anyway. By AMERICAN.

Go 2nd gen! I'm already growing tired of seeing at least 1 5th gen at EVERY stop light. I wish it was like when they first came out "Oh look a camaro!" now you see quite a few(around here at least) teenage girls out driving them around and it just gets old....

Your lucky to have the rariest of all rare cars, a '76 Z28.

I'm sure hoping the 2013 has mild facelift to give us a little something different.

I think the current way they did it was the best choice. Very minimal subtle visual differences. The people who care, can see the difference. Everybody else, it all looks the same and I'm pretty sure that helps sales.
People ask for this because they don't want their higher performance V8 to look exactly like the V6. I'm not sure what the 'minimal subtle differences' are, but they must be pretty subtle. It's not a knock on either one. The V6 is an amazing engine. But it would keep the look a little more fresh when all of the cars look alike.

Not that there was any comparison to the GN and Monte SS other than the build platform, it was GM's way of spanking Buicks peepee for building a car that spanked their Flag Ship Corvettes butt!

uhm..........no, that's not what happened.

Exactly, I graduated from college in 1976 and the first thing I did after getting a job was buy a new Camaro. It was very disappointing to not have a Z/28 or even a SS. Bought a '78 Z/28 2 years later and it got stolen.

Continue to base it on the first generation car. Make it smaller. Visibility, visibility, visibility! Deepen the side glass. Give the interior an airy feel. If Chevy could do a true pillarless coupe while meeting safety regs that would be great. The 5th gen feels like it was made to fit a giant with its head lopped off -- over-sized by about 1.3:1). Put the handbrake on the drivers side, where it belongs. Make gauges and controls more business-like while retaining Camaro design cues. Keep manual a/c. Offer 4WD.

A V8 option must continue to be available at a reasonable cost -- don't make the car into the modern equivalent of a Mustang II. As a driver, make it strong, direct, agile, telepathic. Make HIDs available with fogs. Fogs should work with high beams on -- good for heavy rain. Make more efficient use of space. The current car's trunk opening is ridiculous -- poor design -- no excuse for that.

For some outside inspiration re coupe design look at E9 BMW 3.0 CSi.

I must say I am amazed at the speculation on this website. If you guys wrote your congressmen as much as you speculated we wouldn’t have to deal with these standards that kills our favorite cars. I shudder at the thought of a FWD camaro but I will not be surprised when it happens.

Camaro is always second to the corvette. But even the corvette has skipped a year in production. I honestly don’t understand why they have 2 high powered RWD cars just in the Chevy line. Then you have Cadillacs which I think are hideous looking. They killed olds and poncho. I agree with gmc, get rid of it or make it just a heavy duty truck line. I have a feeling this is going to be the last of cars we can tune and upgrade. The v6 DI motor should give ya an idea the future of the v8. Try to get a full tune on a v6....

Anyways enough ranting
