Would you do this trade?

Trade in your current (slightly modified - CAI, Ported TB, Borla Exhaust) 2011 2SS with 8k miles with full warranty for...

2011 fully loaded (4LT - nav, hud, etc) Grand Sport Covette with 8K miles and no powertrain warranty (the car is fine)...

..with $15k on top??

Id keep the camaro. Grand sports are nice and all, but the corvette family is about to get a refresh.

Tired of modding it. The plan is (like any addict would say) to buy the Corvette and don't touch it. And, I just like how the Corvette feels/drives overall.

Two totally different cars.
What is it you want out of the car!

Although not a newer Corvette, I like my LT4 better than the Camaro.

The GS is really in a different class than the Camaro.

And that's exactly what I'm trying to figure out. I have an opportunity to pull the trigger on this and am trying to assess if the $15k for this new "class" is worth it. I love the GS in certain senses much more than the Camaro, though there are some things that are vice versa. Tough decision.

You'll mod the GS too. You'll start comparing yourself to the Z06 and say well headers and tune will get me closer hmmm. hhmmmmm.. Then BAM you're off and modding.

I'd take a GS over the Camaro if I could afford it, however on the flip side, 2 seater cars are a pain if you don't have a 2nd vehicle. I realize people don't sit in the back of the Camaro but we have a decent trunk and the back seat folds down for even more space. The hatch on the vette is pretty worthless. It holds stuff but its awkward and the interior is arguably worse than the Camaro.

Just don't forget that you would be giving up a backseat.
Sorry...yeah, I would say that if you can handle the increased maintenance costs and slightly less utility, and the fact that the new Vettes will be out soon, then go for it. The Grand Sports are friggin nice!

I'd keep the camaro a little longer. Vette is super nice but like its been said, it's up for a refresh soon. Put headers and high flows on yours and you'll surprised how it wakes up!! You'll be tickled all over when that baby starts up.

Keep the ss. If you do trade take the mods off and sell those seperate. I got the camaro for the beastly looks, not the ride quality. Also try for 10k on top. I think 15 is too much for a used one.
