the pricing structure is killing the car and thats a mistake GM needs to address.

Camaro sales do seem to be tanking a bit, however car sales in general are tanking while truck/CUV sales are soaring.

0% financing for 72 months was just offered the last week of June. We have several members that just purchased cars from dealer inventory, several others are trying to locate their preference. I'm sure July sales will be higher, especially as more incentives are available.

Still loving my Gen6 Camaro SS, glad it's mine!

Not surprised. Chevy offered great performance but failed in pricing and visual design. There better be a redesign in the works.

This trend won't change until GM drops the price by at least $7,000.
2016 Mustang GT Premiums with Performance Packs can be had for ~$36,000. GT base models are ~ ~$32,000.

When the Camaro 2SS is ~46k+ many will buy the Mustang. I'd consider a lightly used Corvette rather then a new $46k Camaro.

Once again trivia that means nothing unless you have stock in GM. Perhaps the "Data" guy can provide a profit/loss statement on the three cars. Which is losing money and which is making a profit. Personally, I don't think Camaro is going away anytime soon and if they do, so be it. I have no control.

Those same Camaros can be had for 42k that you're quoting fairly easily. I think the price needs to drop by closer to 2k before incentives to be actually competitive.

BUT I doubt GM is going for volume. I bet you anything their profit is higher per car than the Mustang. Maybe they're still doing close to what they want. Vast majority of cars sold in first year are "enthusiast" V8s and above 40k price. Most Mustangs are below 30k that get sold.

Yeah. Whatever way you want to spin it, I would bet GM is not happy with the low volume. Yes it does look like it was another down month, but I was not expecting a drop like this.

Is this the first month that we were outsold by the Challenger? That's disappointing considering how much work has been put into the Camaro and the Challengers platform is as old as the hills.

Here in the Northwest dealers are still pretty proud of their new Camaros and aren't budging off the price. My local dealer still doesn't have one yet.

Quick search on Cars.com new Mustang GT premiums listed starting in the high $20K and new Camaro 2SS listed starting in the high $30K. The volume buyer is going to be in under $30K.
