Would be cheaper to just trade in. Look at the side view again on those rear lights. Notice anything missing in the 2014 rear quarters? Like metal... Would get pretty expensive trying to modify the body and repaint as well.

LS7 is available in crate form if you have the coin.

I wouldn't do it. It'd be more worth your time to just buy a Z28.

It might be fun to do it and put the V6 front end on it to have a true "sleeper". When you can drop $15K just on an engine, I suppose you might think about stuff like that.

The quarters are exactly the same from 2010 through 2014. Bumper is diferent, the lights wrap where the plastic bumper used to be. No metal work needed.

Everything on the 2014 is a direct bolt on. The backend will need the 2014 trunklid as well to complete the swap. As for the front im sure you could get by with just a bumper but then you have the problem of the wider hood contours on the bumper. However it all bolts on with no fab work.

Yeah, might be after looking closer. Still don't see it being much cheaper if at all to do a real conversion.

Why, put a CAM, headers and 1LE rear end in you car and you are just as quick and fast.
I would love to say I own a Z28 but I love my DD SS. So I will build her up over time to the performance I need. I already am putting down almost 400HP to the back wheels, 1LE rear end goes in Monday. Latter this summer 1LE sway bars go on. I love creature comforts to much for Z28. Will see if I can get the Recaro's though if I can afford them. |
