I wanted a camaro when the first renderings came out. My now ex wife told me it was obnoxious and no one needed a car like that. Fast forward 2 years, I handed her divorce papers as I was stepping out of my Camaro SS.

Well I first fell in love with Camaros when my little sisters dad had a Camaro Iroc-Z convertible. I remember it being super fast and we would always go to the beach in it.
Anyway I got my Camaro on December 27, 2014 thanks to my girlfriend who convinced me to go down to the dealership and just try and see if I can get one. Long story short after 8hrs of wheeling and dealing and whining because I couldn't get a V8 I got a Red Crystal Tintcoat 2LT RS convertible. I ended up falling in love with car and while I still wish I had a V8 nothing still beats going 100 with the top down. |

How many Mustangs did you own? It sounds like you had more than one.

my love of Camaros started in my early teens, grandpa had a 67, nothing fancy, I think it had a 327 v8, auto trans on the column. he always told me he would sell me the car (for 100 bucks) when I was of driving age...so I always helped him work on it until finally my senior year of school. grandpa kept the car in the garage, so I started asking questions for a few weeks, grandpa was always busy until he finally told me to go talk to my mom. low and behold, she convinced grandpa to sell the Camaro because I surely was going to race it, drive too fast...etc...etc. and get hurt. goodbye my 67. so later I bought a 74 model, yellow with black interior, I put black strips on it similar to the current ones. later came my red 86 iroc-z, T-tops and a tpi 305...still one of the most fun cars I have ever owned.
fast forward, my good friend ordered a 10 black ss 5th gen, black interior with the black and chrome 21" wheels...amazing car. I had to wait a bit, had to put my baby thru 4 years of school and finally in 2012 dad had a little left over tuition and bought my IOM 10 SS. I will never sell it and I already told my baby and her fiancée this car will be for their son when he gets of age......... this ss will be a classic by then and hope it has less than 50k miles when I hand over the keys. since grandpa passed away a few years ago...I don't give my mom a hard time about it anymore. cant wait for my grandbaby

I was in Sedona, Arizona, while vacationing in Phoenix. Sat down on a bench to eat my ice cream and saw a de-badged, victory red Camaro across the street. Was in the market for a Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice, until I saw the Camaro. Before I could purchase one, I won mine. Lucky me.

Ever stop to think that maybe Mom was right? Maybe the reason you are still here with a new Camaro is because you didn't get one when you were 16? ... I know, I know... it's just a thought....probably wrong, but it is Mother's Day. Mom deserves a hug and the benefit of the doubt... She might have saved your hide.

I can't say I blame you. One of my best friends owns a Ford dealership. He lives a couple of hours away, and I still haven't told him I bought a Camaro. Even though he gives me fantastic deals on Fords, I just didn't want a Mustang. I can't bring myself to tell him though... lol.. He'll be sooo annoyed.

The dealer offered to sell me a brand new SS/RS for $18,000. Got my attention.
Of course, with an Infiniti G35 on trade. It was my wife's car, and I made the deal without telling her. Still, couldn't pass it up - the price was just too right. And it turns out, I have a very understanding wife.

Well got into a car wreck in my Monte Carlo SS, the insurance totaled it out, and gave me $5k for it. From there I went to the Chevrolet dealership and got my Camaro for 23k after taxes. Had it two years, and is looking to get my SS next year. Rather it will be a 6th Gen or 5th Gen.

Hello. My name is Josh. I live in Pittsburgh PA and I am 26. My dad surprised me for my birthday coming up on the 16th of may. For tuning 27 he bought me a brand new 2015 Camaro 2LT RS Convertible in the apple red color. It had a bow on it. I always wanted a muscle car all my life and never thought my dad would buy me one. I was happy and sort of in a surreal state when driving it. I never had a fast car before. Even the V6 really goes. I am having a great month of May. Nice to meet you all. I haven't even had time to get some good pictures of it yet. My story was simply a gift.

Congrats! Welcome to the club. Be forewarned that sometimes people are hard on V6 guys around here. Ignore it. The V6 rocks and, like you said, it is fast. Sounds like you've got a great Dad. Post some pics of your car when you get a chance!
