2ss or 1le
Im sure this has been beaten to death, but my dealer has an 18 1le with pdr for 46k, before any disciunting, and a 2ss fully loaded with everything i want, but its an auto and 49k. Could you guys help persuade me into yhe right direction. I dont think ill be tracking the car very much.

If you want both, just wait a few more months and you *should* be able to order a 2SS 1LE.

That was the original plan, but appatantly i can barely afford the 2ss as is, with mrc and npp. I'm afraid, and dealer agreed that the 2ss 1le "should" cost more in his opinion.

So save ALL the cash you can for the next few months. By the time you're able to buy one, you'll probably be able to afford one.

There may be slightly used 1LE's out there as well. The 1LE is very nice but I wouldn't take a new one at $42+k over my $34K 2SS... If you are planning on actually tracking the car, the 1LE is hard to beat. The standard SS is plenty capable in most situations for the majority . If were initially set on getting the manual, get the manual! Test drive both to be sure. Make sure you check out the rev match feature on the 6m test drive. BTW, I had test driven both originally and clearly liked the manual more but bought a 1SS A8(also slightly used) at a great price at the time. I was bored with it in a month. I've had the 6m for almost 5 months now and wouldn't have it any other way!

This question really only you can answer. Go with your gut, and go with what feels right. I'm sure you've done the research, so you know what's what. Good luck.

Hello,
There are no bad choices. First world problems though. See which one speaks to you and go with that. As for me, I went with a 2SS and then added the 1LE rims with all season Nitto tires. The rims are both wider and lighter than stock rims were. Varoom. Kindest, Donner |

Okay, so you are not going to track your car much and the 2SS has everything you want on it. That pretty much answers your question. Besides, why buy a car with features that you aren't going to use over a car with features you like and will use everyday. As far as deciding between a manual or automatic, I personally would prefer a stick however with the A8 you have 8 gears over 6 and you can really tell when driving, the car pulls well and shifts smoothly, plus you have the option of paddles if you happen to get the itch to shift. Furthermore, you will appreciate the added value of the A8 at resale. You just have to weigh out the differences.

1LE. You can’t get the magic diff or abs and tc calibrations on the 2SS later.

I'd recommend you wait for the 2SS 1LE. If you can afford a 2SS or 1LE, than you can afford a 2SS 1lE. The difference isn't that significant, and there's no sense in stopping short of what you really want.

Remember driving a Manual is like having sex without a condom! You feel the experience..

Great responses thanks guys! I test drove em both yesterday. I passed on the 2ss auto, they're still pushing the 1le, but i think im going to hold out.

WARNING
I love my 2ss. I considered waiting for the 1LE but when I found out the initial 1LE would not be available with blind spot detection, I didn't need to wait any longer... I bought the 2ss. And, I couldn't be happier. If your heart is set on a 1LE, though, WAIT for blindspot detection. You'll thank me in the end.
