Muscle car or sports car?

What do you consider Camaros 2010 or newer? I consider them a sports car not a muscle car.

Adults fit in the back of muscle cars.

It will depend on who you ask as there is no governance body that sets a formal standard. I've seen Muscle, Sport and Pony stated and I've seen each argued for and against for various reasons.

However, for me, the Camaro was created to compete with the Mustang and the Mustang created the Pony car segment. So, it's a Pony car to me.

Pre-2016 I consider a muscle car. 2016 and newer I'd definitely say is a sports car.

I still love those Monte's.

Remember the day a truckload of NASCAR Aero ones came in.

Only 200 Aerocoupes were made, so they could reduce the low-pressure zone created by the regular back design for NASCAR Racing.

Super collectors cars now.

What do you got under the hood?

Original L69 with computer controlled carb from hell?

I doubt it. Nice.

Why does it have to be one or the other? It's both, has the engine of muscle but the size, suspension, and trackability of a sports car.

Pony car. But also a sports car, just like the Mustang.

This 👍🏻

I was going to write the exact same response.

I've owned a 3rd gen, two 4th gens, a 5th gen, and now a 6th gen. The 6th gen is now more of an all around performer, so that changed it from a muscle/pony car to a sports car in my opinion.

It's a muscle car. American made 2-door with a High performance engine. Mustang GT, Camaro SS & Challenger R/T even if considered a "pony" class car are still muscle cars. I feel this way regardless and not just because the below list agrees.

Here's a fun list. http://www.musclecarclub.com/muscle-car-definition/
