Hey 1supersport, you have indeed got yourself an amazing sports car that you'll thoroughly enjoy

On the finance side, though, it seems you got ****ed real bad, both on price and interest (although, truth to be told, the rate may unfortunately be legit if your credit isn't excellent).

What options does your car have to be priced at $62k vs the MSRP of $41-42k with zero options? You mentioned a "carbon fiber high wing spoiler", now is this as in the big boy ZL1 1LE wing that costs $4500? I don't even see an option with this name either on the website or in the 2023 order book, I wonder what the dealer will install for you.

He never said 72 months, and these numbers do work if he financed for 60 months.

I’m not sure I understand this thread. How in the world can a 1SS cost 62K? And 94K for the financed total cost - that is insane.

Yeah here’s one pic I just took. Looks like me and ventmaster have the same decals! I’ll post more pics eventually. I’m suppose to have a high wing spoiler but I’m waiting on it to get delivered to the dealership.

It was $57k on Chevy’s site and marked up to just over $61k after taxes

Congrats on the car!
I have a 1SS too. I would just refi when rates get lower.

It does seem a bit high for a 1SS, I paid in the high 40s for a convertible.

Congrats! Enjoy! Sharp ride.

My only question is what options got its price up to 57K. I understand the dealer markup, and the finance rate, but 57K is lofty price for a 1SS. Curious as to the breakdown on that price.

Should I also get the AFM disabled right off the bat?

Well whats insane is that we now live in a society where the price of a new SS is over $62k! Financing $94k is indeed insane. I bought my 17' SS brand new 6 years ago at almost half that amount.

I think the price of these cars has gotten political. They are driving the prices and interest rates so high to get you to go electric. Anyone notice all the EV incentives available and lower incentivised interest rates for ev??? Its another govt. induced scam.

Congrats!

Right now, that is actually a really good rate. 7% is like the new 0% so to speak. I still cannot figure out how a 1SS is 57k though? They would have had to have like a 10k markup on it practically but then you said there was a 5k markup to 62k? My 2SS 1LE on order with every single option is 59k out the door...

Yes. Personally, I would get the range device for AFM immediately, I could never stand that.

Question: Does driving in Sport mode also deactivate/disable afm? I only put mine in Sport or track mode.

I just bought a 2023 1SS yesterday and I can confirm the $5k dealer markup. These are the times that we now live in.

Well dang! I guess I've been priced out of this market. I paid 37K out the door for my 2016 1SS. It was not highly optioned (dual mode exhaust, grey split spoke wheels) but there was no way to option it up to 57K even if I wanted a to which I didn't. Not too long ago 62k would get you a ZL1. Talk about inflation!

It is a great looking car and I'm sure you will enjoy it. Best of luck and I hope you can add extra to the payments to knock down that total cost. Cheers!

This is just too crazy to be blamed on inflation alone, even though it's real. I could buy one for $43K right now, with a few options.

Anyway, the car looks very nice, I am a big fan of the hash marks
