How often is your H.U.D. on?
Just curious what others do. I leave mine on all the time, usually adjusting the brightness only at night. Is there any reason to be concerned about how long it will last, leaving it on all the time?

I have a '10 (HUD added my me) and I personally can't stand the thick as anything speedo needle. Never without the HUD now. I have to adjust based on day, day with sunglasses, and night.

I actually just had my whole HUD unit replaced. Chevy dealer had to keep the car 2 days to replace it. Apparently it's a bitch to get out since they had to remove the entire dashboard just to get to it. Mine just killed out one day at 18,000 miles. Only got the car CPO with 4,000 miles. Go figure ... At least it was covered under warranty.

24/7, my only worry is coupled with a quick car, it almost feels like you're in the driver's seat of a video game.

The hard part is not scratching anything during the entire process. Hopefully mine will last longer than yours since I did myself, not under warranty & I'm not wanting to undertake that project again right now! Edit: Found this on my PC - just a fun pic while I was installing it. Last edited by dkp2LT; 10-08-2013 at 04:40 PM. |

Mines is always on, but I never notice it unless I'm trying to look at it.

Always. I find myself looking for it in my truck after I have been driving the Camaro for a few days. I can't see the speedo and my dic is always on avg. mpg's.

When I drive my Audi I always find myself wondering what speed I am going because it doesn't have HUD. I drive the Camaro so much that it is actually pretty inconvenient not to have HUD.

All the time. One of the reasons I got a 2SS was for the HUD. Love it
