My brother has a black 2010 SS he very rarely drives it I think it has like 2000 miles on it. Yes my brother and I both have a camaro. He doesnt drive it daily because of gas milage he does have a long drive to work. He drives his 2013 BMW to work every day! He is 29. It must be nice!

Everyone, please be offended by my statement.
I have a 70 mile round trip drive for work, I have, as of last night, 5 vehicles to choose from. I drove my Camaro today. Why? Because when I leave work from this extremely stressful job I get to hop into my Camaro and drive it. If someone hits me and destroys my car they make more, lots more. This is not a rare car, and in 50 years it still won't be rare.

Bought it Jan. '10 and have a shade over 11,000 miles on it. Drive it when I want to, not because I have to. |

I am older and have three choices for driving and I don't understand either.
But I do understand that perspective is everything. I have seen a motorcycle used as an art piece in a house and the person didn't even know how to drive one. I saw a 427 block out of an old corvette used as a wine bottle holder and coffee table. It is really about how the person sees it. Those are not "garage queens" to the person owning it. Just like they don't understand why you would neglect your car by driving it a lot and in different conditions that can harm the car. I really enjoy going to car museums and shows to look at all the history but also know I should not own one as I am a driver and not a collector. |

but as soon as I move to new york and find a beater she will be a garage queen because: 1. I plan to keep her forever- I could daily drive her and just replace things as I go, but that would be so much more expensive long term. 2. Not every trip out of the house is for enjoyment- moments where you know you'll be stuck in traffic.. city runs, rush hour etc... when I haul family members around.. I cant let the HP loose anyway, so I feel its a waste to just add miles just driving slowly 3. Maybe you forsee someone else driving- As of right now, there's no one besides my dad I would let drive my car. It's just not worth the trouble when a friend wants to take it for a spin.. most of them DD cars with under 300 HP.. if something were to happen it would create a strain on the relationship.. financials, etc. 4. Snow- if I can get my hands on a decent fun to drive car for the winter, the Camaro may be hibernating for during the cold seasons.. I can save on keeping summer tires, insurance, cheaper gas.. that's $thousands$ right there.. I get enough enjoyment knowing I have it whenever I need to use. Just looking at the beautiful thing shoots my endorphin levels way up. I'll end with saying if I was stupid rich with stupid money then yes.. i'd continue to drive this thing all day all night... I wouldn't need worry about financial responsibility. But then i'd maybe have a few Camaros and 1 would be the DD while the others would be GQs. |

Why buy it if you ain't gonna drive it? 2010 here 28,800 on the clock. Daily drive the crap out of it when the weather allows!

I've owned a couple of Camaro's in the past, I was looking to buy another Camaro but this time to keep. I found a women who had a 2010 SS with 6 speed manual, it had less then 17 K miles on it.
I enjoy detailing it from the underside to the top more then driving it, hard to explain why I do but I've always been like this.....in the three months I've owned it I have put on no more then 50 miles on it, probably that's it for this year. Now you might consider the Camaro a garage queen but that's nothing, how about a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S with only 800 miles on it or a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Brougham with only 1200 miles on it. BTW, I've owned both Oldsmobile's since new, in fact I followed both of them through final assemble.

Can afford to run 2 cars. Rather have my Pontiac that is 8 years old take the Florida heat, sun, rain, bird droppings, pollen, etc... in a parking lot for 10 hours per day while I'm at work. Then cherish, build and have fun with the Camaro on sunny days and weekends!
Have had my Camaro for 1 year and 4+ months, she has nearly 3,000 miles on her.

Well I had my car for 2 years now and I'm around 11,000 miles. The reason why I don't drive it everywhere and why it isn't my go to car is because I have a 99 malibu that gets me around. I like having a a cheap car on the side cus I never have to worry leaving it anywhere and people dinging my car. As long as I live I'll always have a 1000 dollar special car and I'll always have a muscle car on the side for fun. I plan to have my camaro forever.
