2013 VIN #142
After a long..... LONG wait!! I was finally able to fly into Detroit Metro Airport from Roswell, NM to pick up my ZL1!
I arrived Wednesday to pick her up!! The salesman asked me... "So you brought the check from the bank?" So immediately I knew something wasn't going to go right. Needless to say... The way my bank was sending them the money, wasn't the way they wanted it!! Therefore... #142 wasn't able to be picked up Wednesday night! So I traveled 1,500+ miles to take delivery of my ZL1 and left with an Impala Wednesday night! My bank immediately sent my dealer a wire transfer, however as most banks operate, there is a cut off time for wires! That times just happens to be 3pm! And of course it's now 3:15 pm EST!! GRRRR!! So now I had to wait ANOTHER day to pick up my ZL1!! Thursday morning we headed straight to the dealership! Around 10:30 the wire had finally been processed at the dealerships bank, and I was FINALLY able to leave with my 2013 ZL1! First impression!! This car looks unbelievable. Handles and drives even better than I thought! I can understand why people are afraid to push this car! It's planted on a rail!!! Drive Home! Not one rock chip!! 1,650 miles on her and all that was needed to be done was clean the bugs off her face!! Break in is complete and still have really been able to open her up just yet, but she has more than enough power! You don't even need to come close to the 4K RPM to feel the power of this beast!! I did keep it under 80 and also didn't keep it at the same speed for very long either! Averaged about 21 MPG as well!! Not too shabby!! Thank you to the Chevy Team in Canada!! This is truly the best Camaro ever! Ladies and Gentleman... I introduce you to "The Wolverine" P.S. How can I go about getting a window sticker?? My window sticker didn't have anything printed on it!

Maybe he didn't have a dealership on his area with an allocation or they were all charging a markup.

Just like G man said! No allocations and want $15 over sticker!! I also have family up in the Detroit area, so I kinda made it a small vacation as well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to CamaroFest on the way home!! We left Michigan about 4-5 hours later than we wanted to, so it really put a bind on the 24+ hour drive we had ahead of us!

Wow, congrats. Bankers can really throw a monkey wrench into the works, can't they? We were closing on our house when the lawyers asked us for a few thousand dollars. We had expected there to be no closing costs. So we had to rush around and find cash on a Friday afternoon (each ATM would only dispense $500!) and beg the lawyers to take a check for some of it.
At least we got our house... Enjoy the car. Mine will need a few more months to break in. |

Thank you everyone!!
Yes bankers can throw a wrench in as well as dealers. This particular dealer knew since Monday how the funds were coming, but never raised an eyebrow til I showed up!! It sucked at first but was kinda good in the long run!! It's about a 100 less miles on my ZL1!! Now I need to find time to call Becky and them and Rogers for my much needed accessories!!
