Bilstein B6 and Springs

I am looking for peoples opinions on springs with the Bilstein B6 Shocks and struts.

Who here is running stock springs, BMR springs (which lowering height), DSE, PFADT, Hotchkis, etc.

Seeing what your thoughts are for ride quality, handling, noises, etc.

Right now i am still considering keeping stock springs when i do the install as this is just a weekend cruiser. I live in northeast ohio so roads are not smooth here.

I did see that, but someone else who had a 2010 like me said they didnt see that issue when they swapped out the shocks and struts.

I'm running PFADT lowering springs with B6 but I don't know how much they lower.

Pfadt springs are 1.25" lower.

I was considering going with Billstein B6's but ended up with Pedders. I'm happy with them, and they're cheaper. I have BMR 1" drop springs. The roads in NY suck ass, but the car isn't too harsh.

I am the opposite. 1" BMR springs with GM fe4 shocks/struts. Ride is very close to stock comfort until you really get into it.
I have heard many stories of harsh rides with aftermarket sprigs mated with aftermarket shocks/struts.
It really depends on what you do/want from your car.

The rear suspension on early models was pretty weak.
I think the B6 would complement the stock springs.
Funny thing, seems no matter how we try to do "only just a little bit," we always seem to want more.
It took me 5 painstaking years laboring over what suspension parts would suite my needs and the tires/wheels that would best compliment my modifications.
I wouldn't expect you to wait as long as I did...but, I would suggest taking your time in deciding what would work best for you.

Firm but better than stock, although that might be because stock was 80k miles. But I also don't spend much time on rough roads.

I have the B6 with BMR 1.25" drop. It's fine for the roads here but gets pretty rough once I'm north of Indy.

Kind of what i was expecting to hear. Thats why wondering if the PFADT or BMR 1" does a better job? I like the concept of around 1" drop. but if its a rough ride i am not going to want to drive the car.

My experience was that these springs with the stock struts weren't a good match, very jarring ride. However, with the B6 they are much smoother overall but rough pavement can still shake you up. That said, I drive it daily and many of my mods add NVH, so I tolerate it well.

I don't have experience with any other springs.
