Well... As I think of it, I never really need to see how tall a vehicle is that's in my blind spot, just that it's there. As long as the mirrors are the same width as the current mirrors, then I'll see something is there. It doesn't matter what's there, just that I see something is there. Making it a convex or spherical mirror would only be a bonus.

As far as the mirrors with the lights in them goes, I think it's brilliant, but only half brilliant. It would be better if they had LEDs underneath the mirror (between the mirror and the housing) or at the edge of the mirror (once again, in the gap between the mirror and the housing, or perhaps behind the mirror and projecting the light via a duct so that it projects brightly between the mirror and its housing) so that people in your blind spot can see that you are indicating a lane change.

I don't really care about people ahead of me seeing an indicator on the front of the mirror. If they are travelling in the same direction as me, I can slow down to get behind them and if they are travelling in the opposite direction, they will see my normal turn indicators. The big danger is people who are too far forward to see my rear indicators, because the side markers do not flash to indicate.

Word, don't think it'd be much of a problem... Besides my main choice of travel is topless so I can see just find.

Do not buy the mirrors from Blacky!!!! They will warp!! I owned a set and in the summer heat warped due to the materials he uses. Get the ones from AAC but have them do a seamless pair. I ended up learning the hard way.

The other problem with Blacky -- he is across the pond. The set I received took months to get. Upon arrive the housing for the mechanics was messed up. If wanting repaired I had to re ship back which involved $$ and then more time. They also came with glued in mirror pieces that are extremely thin. My drives side mirror dropped out and had to be re glued in. As stated I would go with AAC but if wanting a closer look to Blacky ask for them to be seamless. This will prevent the wind noise some complain about as well
