Your modes should be located in the bottom right hand corner like mines. I don’t think it should disappear. To think about it I don’t think the V6 model share the same instrument cluster as mines. Right? But at least this gives you an idea.

Smaller cluster still shows driving mode at bottom middle

Yup, mine looks exactly like that as well, and I tested it the other night, they do not disappear. Always see an S because I never take it out of Sport mode. Mine is a 2017 V6 RS, so don't know if it changed that year. It is definitely not in the center of the screen like yours.

Looking at car listings, all model years have the exact same cluster style with no changes minus 2019 being redesigned it still has the mode displayed in the same corner.

I was just trying to point out that the picture you posted definitely shows a different dash than Blackmonba6Gen posted (which matches mine). Not sure why. We have electronic gauges at the top and the mode shows at the bottom right, not center.

Is this an RS vs. non-RS thing?

No, it's one of the optional packages on the LT trims. The SS comes with it standard I believe.

So some LT's have it if the option was fitted, some won't.

RS only adds exterior appearance changes.

I have a 2017 2LT V6 RS with the Convenience and Technology package so I have the same display as the SS.

The S/T and S/I indicator shows up in the bottom right of the central area. I always have my display on the 'Technology' setting, as that is my favorite design.
