I ran Jannetty's 445RWHP N/A cam last year with LT headers and CAI intake and managed to get 17-19 depending on my feet. When I added my TVS2300 and JRE smooth idle cam (And injectors,ZL1 fuel pump,etc...) I still hang at about 17-19 mpg. I love the boost but miss the profile of the N/A cam (Very bumpy).

I'm at 15-17 mpg for daily driving and 21-23 mpg for highway cruising. That's a little less for daily and about the same for highway. As I see it I will now use about 50 gallons more a year than when stock. So, maybe I'll spend $175 more a year because of my cam bolt-on package. What a bargain that is for the pleasure I get for that $175 per year.
Believe me the gas mileage hit is peanuts compared to the cost of the mods. The price for a fill up can mess with your head. Do the math. It ain't the gas milage drop that will kill ya. If you can afford the mods you can afford the gas.

I have the JRE blower cam package and I'm supercharged and I run about 16 city when I drive nice and about 24-25 highway with the cruise set on 72. I run 93 octane with one of teds tunes and couldnt be happier with how his cam drives.

It'll drop the first 6 weeks or so.....
But after the awesomeness wears in a little, it'll get back to normal. Still seeing 23/25 on the highway. Ivan |

I get a very consistent 19.5, I was getting almost exactly 21 on every tank. I have 105K miles on my 2010.
There are cams out there that have less lift and/or duration than stock. So you can actually get better mpg with the right grind. Search for "economy cams" on Comp's website. most are not that way though. +.600 lift and +225 duration... = much more air intake and exhaust than stock.... so at 14.7 AFR (during closed loop), you will lose mpg at a comparable rpm and speed. It is a mathematical certainty. Then you raise the rpm in the tune... so even less mpg. I am not sure how anyone with a "big" cam can say they didn't lose mpg.

me personally, I took about a 4MPG hit after the cam coming from LT headers, CAI, tune. The LT headers, CAI, tune combo actually got me a +1MPG increase so you could say I took a 3MPG decrease in MPG from stock. Not a big deal for me though since I only put 5k a year on the car. Anyone that says they saw no difference or a increase in MPG is either lying or isnt calculating it correctly. FI is the only major power adder that might not affect MPG.

My highway MPG is just about the same as it always was. My city MPG came down some...but at worst it averages 18.7 now.
