I can't quite get past my love of the C7 styling (not that I want to) so I'm sure I'll still end up with the Vette but this ZL1 has a very dominating presence whereas the C7 screams exotic class to me. Either way, I'm anxious to see more of these cars on the road.

Since I'm a driver and see so many cars everyday there's a good chance I'll see more so I'll be ready...

I'm kinda torn on the spoiler. In pictures I like the 1LE spoiler better, but will have to wait and see it in person. I do wish they had some options similar to the Z06, including some aero options, but I guess you can't have everything. Very exciting times though......really looking forward to seeing this thing and finding out how fast she truly is!

This new ZL1 produces 640 horsepower? How is that possible? This is more HP than the Lamborghini Murcielago?

Estimated 640 HP! There are some that believe it may be substantially more. They admitted they made mods to the intake, the supercharger lid appears bigger than the Vette. They also said they improved the exhaust, that along with the additional cooling it is hard to say what the actual will be when it is certified!

The Lamborghini Murciélago, stock produces 580 HP.... Hard to believe the new 17' ZL1 makes 640 HP. If this new Camaro makes 640 HP along with the handling of the 6th gen Camaro, this may be the ultimate American Super Car, and with a few mods could be the fastest production Sports Car in the world. Am I wrong on this assumption?

Supercharged 640, the Lambo is a naturally aspirated V12. The superveloce version was 660 HP naturally aspirated.

But yes it is exciting that we have a Camaro that rivals the HP output of super cars in a stock package. I can only imagine how much better the z28 will be with the new chassis.

Think SS with flat black hood and nice tire package. Just about any dealer should have one (an SS that is) you can go look at. The ZL1 on the other hand is much different so we are starving for pics of it showing all its different nuances.

I think he's looking for some "in the wild" shots of the 1LE.

One of the reasons there might not be any...is that it's real easy to build an engineering test car for the 1LE without any of the exterior appearance stuff...so it'd look like any SS on the road.

I think this may be one of those cars that i have to see in person to fully appreciate it's beauty and recognize those nuances. These pics look like a ss with side skirts and a dreadful rear wing. I wasn't overly impressed with the NYC auto show pics. But every time I see a 6th Gen on the streets, I'm like 'wow, that's a good looking vehicle', so I'm positive the zl1 will look even better in person. Who knows, same thing may be true with the spoiler.

Have you noticed that there is no logo (red, white, blue) on the front Fender?

It is the same on the red coupe and gray convertible shown at NY show.

I think they should put it as well.

FYI, "Powertrain: One thing is certain about the V-12 that certainly resides under the Aventador SV’s louvered engine cover: It will make more than the base Aventador’s 691 horsepower and 508 lb-ft of torque. If Lamborghini wanted to truly deliver some crazy, it would install the 710-hp V-12 used in the 50th Anniversary Aventador."
