But if you can get the date and time off the slip you can go to dragtimes to figure out the DA. Just select Atco and enter the date, then find the hour you ran in, then put that weather data into the calculator, and you will know. http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

Would a GT500 outhandle an SS Camaro?
Well horsepower aside do you think the new GT500 handles better than our SS 5th Gen Camaros?

Completely stock vs completely stock and on smooth pavement, yes. As much as I hate to bring up magazine stats, the "regular" Mustang GT's were generally given the nod on handling before the later comparison rounds involving the ZL1 and 1LE.
From a purely technical position, the GT500 and 2SS car weights are close to a wash with the tire size & grip and wheel width advantages all going to the GT500. Especially the front tires & wheels. In normal up to fairly hard street driving, you probably wouldn't notice any difference in the handling per se although there would be a difference in "feel". At least as long as the road isn't rough/bumpy. I'd have posted the same thing even if I didn't happen to own a Mustang. Norm Last edited by Norm Peterson; 08-31-2012 at 10:44 AM. |

I have no doubt the Shelby handles better than my SS.

How was that a nice race? The ZL1 driver was a non- driver.

It looked like to me that the ZL1 driver needed some line lessons.
