[QUOTE=steelheadrob;9711806]Thanks I heard something about this, I am guessing there is probably a youtube video on this, so I will check it out.
Here are some pics from my build site, it's easy. This shows how I routed the cable and zip tie areas. http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...467998&page=14 Jegs has a sale on MT's right now!

Absolutely happy with the SS tire and they hook hard. Just ordered a set for my 17" drag pack.

I called Race Star today to have them answer a few questions. They recommended Kent's Hod Rod Garage for the best pricing on Race Stars. They beat both Jegs and Summit. If anyone is in the market give them a call,816-509-8999, their phone pricing is better than their website pricing. They also stock tires, their MT prices are better than Jegs and Summit everyday prices but not quite as good as Jegs current sale. |

Reviving this thread to ask a few questions...
So after some searching I believe I'm going to try out the DOT Bias ply Mickey Tompsons on my 17x9.5 Racestar 6.43BS wheels... I did some reading and realized I might as well complete the dragpack and get fronts+skinnies during this black friday sales craze. My question is; What DOT approved skinnies should I run with a bias ply DOT tire in the back? The point of going DOT in the rear is so I can street drive the car with the drag pack on. Don't want to avoid a ticket in the rear and get one for the fronts lol. After searching around I noticed the streetable skinnies from MT are not bias ply, and the ones that are only show sizes in 15. Anyone have a set of DOT approved skinnies on their drag pack?

I run the non dot hoosiers front and rear. Not sure on the dot stuff. I trailer mine to the track.

Both my front and rear are M&H DOT approved , just put about 200miles on em tonight Just with any skinny front you gotta watch the curves and off ramps

I have DOT 4" wide front radials from M&H. I don't drive with them on. 100 miles one way to the track. I leave the stock wheels on the front and change at the track. If you have to make any kind of evasive maneuver you are not going to want to be on 4" wide front tires.

The Street SS and Street R's have the same rubber compound.
It's just marginally safer to drive the SS's on the street in the rain

Black Friday deals on RaceStars. Trying to figure out which 17s will fit. I guess calling them is the best bet.
