LS vs LT and RS package

Hello,
I dont know much about camaros but im planning to buy one this month and I just want to get a few questions answered before I make my choice. I dont really know how to explain what I want to say but ill do my best.

First off, I want to know if there is any difference on the exterior body part of a 2010 camaro LS and LT?

Second, if I get a 2010 Camaro LS, can I install the RS package on it?

I still have more questions but I cant think of it right now, but once I do ill say it.

Thanks in advance.

RS is not available on LS models. Only 1LT-2SS. No difference in exterior from LS to LT besides the wheels.

Oh, and no fog lights on LS.

In addition to what others have said, 2010 LS's don't come with factory spoilers. A 2010 LT with the RS package does.

Tail lights are different too in 2010 and 2011 in non RS, they're not darkened... If that matters to you. It'd be pretty expensive to install headlights, fog lights, tail lights, spoiler, change ditch moulding and buy rims... If you're buying a 2010 or 11 and want RS you probably should buy a car with it. 80% or more have it anyway. One of the reasons I didn't go for it.

...and if you go with the 20 inch rims take a look at what a set of tires will cost you. A few thousand bucks in my area for a set of replacement pirellis to go on those 20s. That's not for me.

If you can afford it atleast get the ilt RS. You can add some upgrades that the 2lt has. It takes a lot of money and work to get the LS to look like a 1lt or 2lt RS.

The RS package is very worth it.

I think its about 1500 more. If you wanted to add the RS type stuff later, you would spend THOUSANDS more. The headlights alone are about 800, the fogs a few hundred more, and the wheels, well a few grand including the 20 inch Perellis, and 3-400 more for painted spoiler, and you still dont get the roof ditch, the speed limiter change, and the real right to call it an RS.

do as others have said get the RS. I am installing the fogs and halos and well its not cheap. Plus you get some very nice headlights. Buy the RS save some money for future mods.

Oh alright, thank you guys!

It's because I was thinking in just buying the 2010 LS camaro since its much cheaper, then just buy the headlights and rims and stuff seperate later on. But I guess it will be cheaper if I just buy the 1LT with the RS package instead of buying all the parts seperate. Hmm alot of things to consider, thanks though!

Not an accurate statement. To get the RS package, as was stated before, you have to have at least a 1LT model. 1LT msrp is $2000 more than the LS (according to chevy website), then you have to add the RS price which is an additional $1675 (once again according to chevy site). This means that to get the RS model would cost an additional $3675 (yay! I can add!). If all you want to add are hid's, halos, foglights. and a slightly darker rear lights, you can add all these to the LS model with aftermarket parts for cheaper imo.

You should really consider if you want all the options that comes along with it and if the price is worth it.

The big points to consider: Bluetooth, halos, fog lights, hid's, larger wheels, and higher speed limiter. Are these options worth the extra $3.5k?

Edit: For wheels.. it's not thousands. They come on sale here in the forum once in a while for very reasonable price as the owners upgrade theirs to lighter aftermarkets. I've seen them go for less than a grand before. And not having a spoiler could be good to if you prefer the design of aftermarket spoilers more since you won't have to worry about pre-drilled holes and such. And being able to call your car an RS isn't quite the prestige like the SS badge would be for example.
