It is going to have to be awfully light to run 12.3 on stock tires.

12.5-6 is more realistic.

I would be ecstatic with a 12.5 stock car

I don't know about quarter mile, but 0-60 sounds like 4.2 sec. if the top of second is 60 mph.

It has to be a solid mid 12 sec car to complete with the mustang and challenger. With Ford switching to irs and mag ride Chevy can no longer fall on the "well it handles better" anymore. And the c7 has run 11's 100% stock just not in any magazine testing. Cars are normally quicker in the hands of private owners.

From reading some of the guys on the Corvette Forum, and from press release info on the Stingray, they are running high 11's to 12 flat.

12.3 sounds about accurate assuming the new platform sheds a few pounds.

I think the real news from the sound clip is on the downshift at the end, sounds an awful lot like rev match.

No, it's a Corvette everywhere.

A 6th gen Camaro is a 6th gen.

No one in the automotive press or GM refers to the Camaro gens as C#. That has always been the case for the Corvette, not the Camaro. As pointed out by the Fbodfather, there's an F still in the VIN, so F6 would be more appropriate than C6. We are going to start getting a lot more newbies the closer we get to reveal date. We want to make sure they don't get more confused.

Can this be a 1LE?

A stock SS Camaro running 12.3s would be awesome. I hope it happens.

I'm sure the Camaro will have rev matching but a heel toe shift can sound the same.

The car stopped too quick to be making a run at a drag strip.

Test track 1/4 mile measured..... Maybe. Maybe not
