Front License Plate Mount

Somebody asked about the mount for front plate... Found it. Look at the second car in the attached pic.

Good eye!

On the bright side, it doesn't look like it's mounted to any painted part of the bumper so removal should be easy this gen.

yuck. I'll just stick with tickets.. or if there is a hidden one that someone will devise, then I'll be on board with that.

how does that not have a HUGE impact on cooling and air flow? That is directly in the center of the intake...?

Turbulence, how does it work?

It's not like the plate would block airflow completely, but the airflow would move around it.

I will pay the higher nc state tax to not have to deal with this.

it blocks a significant portion of the air flow. Its less about turbulence, and more about m^3/s; we already established with the Z/28 flow-tie that a small obstruction creates a huge difference in the amount of airflow through the engine compartment\

I'll just run the risk of a ticket. Then when it happens, sip tie it on so I can take it off right after inspection.

obviously it's not blocking airflow completely, but turbulence has nothing to do with the fact that the surface area of the intake is reduced by the surface area of a license plate

I plan to go with a sliding bracket that mounts underneath the fascia. Can be slid under and hidden for shows, or for you track guys.

Hell no. My 2010 here in IL has never had a front plate, never been stopped.

I will gladly pay the ticket over ever mounting a plate in the front. Good thing I know a lot of cops.
