Precisely why I'm buying a camaro. Not because I have kids but, because I have 2 Boston Terriers that are spoiled as hell. In order to take the mrs and pups on the great Oregon coastal drives I need the back seats. If I bought a vette then I'd be relegated to driving an appliance instead of a sports car on these trips.

Yes because I have a toddler, but even if not, I couldn't afford the vette i would want. Z06.
I don't however believe any of this "Poor man's Corvette" stuff, the Camaro is a great car and stands on it's own merits, and has it's own appeal that some won't find in a corvette - IMO.
