Nitrous kit
Hey I just wanted to get some expert advice from all the gear heads in this thread.
So I have been kicking around the idea of putting the Cam and a Zex (or equivilent) nitrous kit in. My bottom end is completely stock, and my ss LS3 has about 18k miles. Would it be dangerous to go with a setup like this? Some say if tunned properly the ls3 can handle nitrous without a problem and be completely as reliable as a stock motor... Is this true? Would I really notice the difference in power from just installing a cam? |

i got a hsw kit its a lil on the old side. but if i was to buy a kit today nitrous outlet. those guys have helped me even tho i dont have their product. im a lg g6x3 cam and k&n intake , obx header and 2.5 magnaflow exhaust , with a hsw 90mm plate kit. this is things u will need or will want to make it safe. run br7ef plugs get either a progressive controller or a window switch. wide open throttle switch. Then either get 2 tunes 1 n/a and 1 nitrous. or get a lnc-2000 and pull timing. i got a lnc. its nice cause i can change things and its also a 2 step. but u can run a 200 shot with race fuel on the factory engine.
u will notice a big power diff on just a cam alone. my car gained about 70 rwhp from a cam alone.

Call Nitrous Outlet. Excellent info, products and customer service. Don't skimp on components. As long as everything is installed and functions correctly, you should have no issues other than traction. My aftermarket cats did blow out though.

Nitrous Outlet set my system up to spray through a Maggie, they were a great group of people to work with. Highly recommended.

To answer your question, yes you can run nitrous safely on a stock motor as long as you don't go crazy with anything over 125 shot and have a good system in place.

I run a 150hp shot on my stock motor. Loved every chance to spray I get. I have timing pulled and run 116 fuel with the nitrous.
