Cowl Line fitment, can it be done?

Im at my uncle's dealership and I told the body shop I needed my ZL1 front bumper with mailslot from autosource to match the cowl lines on my 2lt convertible and they said they couldn't do it and gave me every excuse that they could. I was told the cowl line could be sanded down or something from someone on this forum and I want you guys to tell me what you would say to the dealership, and tell me if this can be done and how? To me it seems simple enough right? just sand it down, the cowl line extend a little bit away from the v6's cowl line.

My body guy just did mine yesterday. The sanding is minimal so it wouldn't weaken it.

I can tell you what to say to them, but after you tell them what i told you, you will not be welcome there any more.

Its done all the time, there not much of a body shop if they think it will not work, IMO, OP good luck.
