Anyone else get bugged by pick up trucks?
I get an odd amount of attention from boys in lifted trucks, especially cummins rams
I've never seen a fast diesel truck on the road, most of them are boys with a roll coal tune and that's all they do. Also one time a 5.4 F150 revved at me, that was a good laugh

Never really get bothered by the trucks. if you're not carefull you can get butt hurt. But in my area there are some really fast diesels that destroy a stock or nearly stock camaro or mustang. My sons 1st durmax was putting out almost 1200 lb/ft of torque. His new one is full bolt on, upgrade turbo, deleted, tuned ,& probally other stuff I don't know about. When I drove it a few times in Mexico I was neck & neck with a 5.0 stang & absolutley destroyed a challenger RT. Not bad for a 7000lb truck.

I don't like pickups period. around here, they do nothing but drive really slow, take up a lane, and throw rocks (mostly the F250's). Some guys actually try to run you over when changing lanes.
Getting to the fast diesels. back in the days when I was a GM tech particurly in the mountain states where I lived at one times, the diesels (turbos) would destroy any vortec pickup or v8 car. I used to be the tech to upgrade the turbo-diesels (chevy's) to stage 1-2. I actually hated that part of my job. But once done they were uncatchable at 5k ft above sea level. hehe. |

Constantly, including ‘rolling coal’. Don’t get it...
Not even a contest, i literally ran circles around one in the sweeping turns, didn’t stop him. He damn near crashed trying to keep up, and I wasn’t going that fast. Raised up stupid high, curves just about rolled him over. -Don

Beware NC SS there are many of fast trucks roaming the streets in Va, there are several shops that are getting them to run in the 10’s. They will launch in 4x4 and leave you playing catch up.

How do the take up a lane? You realize your Camaro is taking up a lane too when you are on the road? Lol and just what do you consider driving slow? The speed limit, 5 , 10 mph over because, I dont notice pickup trucks holding everyone up. Lol. I know many pickups that would dust a V6 camaro. It isnt the particular vehicle that's the issue. Its the jackwagon behind the wheel, and they drive everything from a prius to a Kenworth. Cool post. You made me laugh. Thanks. |

[QUOTE=motorhead;10079390]So f250's throw more rocks? That might be the funniest thing I've ever read on the internet.

My DD is a 16 F150 3.5 ecoboost & I get more people wanting to run than when I'm in my Camaro. I guess my red 1LE looks alot faster than it really is.

Here in the Houston area there are some diesel trucks that run 100MPH up to around a 120 in the quarter mile easy. Some of them look like they just come of the show room floor. Some trucks just smoke a lot. lol

Get bugged? Nope, I have an F250 and an F350. I do notice the F250 tends to throw more rocks though...

No problem with pickup trucks. In fact, I respect them. Some of those diesels can kick some ass.

It's always the Dodge trucks that like to stir up shite.
Nothing is more irritating than going out for a nice rip to relax and you get Dodge-boy up your arse trying to prove a point to his netflix-waste-of-a-life gf.
