I have had 2. The first one I got in September and had it for 5 months then problems started to show up. So I sent it back and got my second one which I only had for about 2 months and I just took it off yesterday because of the same problems I had with the first one.

Could be the Torque Mgmt System (TMS) causing the problem especially on L99s when you're near or at WOT, see post#14 on this page http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395044 ,but that wouldn't explain get REP msgs with a SP0 setting unless maybe once you get a REP due to TMS any accelerator throttle sensor deviation will cause REP condition ? Other than that the only other thing I can think of is given that there are no moving parts in the VTC that the VTC circuit boards start to fail causing unpredictable results

Just installed mine. Does the readout stay on even when car is shut down? Mine is on all the time.

Thank you just did not wait long enough. Guess when you enter car it sends current to throttle controller. Would have thought GM would only send power to it when key is on..

Well crap...if AngryBird is suddenly having problems, then it makes sense that my sudden problems might be also related to the VTC, as we bought ours around the same time. :(

Does seem to be more and more common.. Sad too, because when it works it makes the car more fun to drive. I sent mine back and asked for a refund just because I don't want to live with the anxiety of if or when it will mess up again.

I didn't get a chance to read through the whole topic, but was this a sudden issue for you?

I know what you are saying about reliability, but my first thought was it's due to the change in temps...like I experienced in November.

EDIT: I just read back a bit more...it's great they are working with you.

Yes very sudden without any warning. I had just driven it a couple days earlier on a road trip over 200 miles with no problems.

I too had just recently done some extended driving (about two weeks ago), with much of it consistently over 75mph.

Did you happen to notice a burning wire smell?
I noticed this several times in the past few weeks, and wrote it off as something I was smelling outside. It reminds me of that burning wire smell when you are pumping too much wattage through a speaker (before everything melts).

Perhaps I'm smelling my VTC dying?

I don't recall smelling anything with an electrical burning smell. Of course I had the top down so the airflow could have dispersed the smell before I could. But I am sure when I took it out the control box would have had the distinctive smell.
