GM say's not to use it because it will make the wipers chatter. I have a Dodge truck that i use it on and they do not chatter. I didn't know if it might have something to do with HUD? There is 2 different windshields, one for HUD and one without.

There is no difference between the windshields on the outside, it's all on the underside. You can use rain X on any glass you want. I'm not a fan because after a couple months it smears for me. But have at it if you like it.

I find that RainX makes the water start moving at 55 mph. A carnauba wax or paint sealant will make the water start moving at 35 mph. Just apply the wax thinly to the windshield, allow to dry 20 minutes and remove. There will be no chatter.

SiO2 sealant spray does a great job too, and all you do is spray and rinse.

Get Aqualpel, it last way longer. On my SS sedan, it lasted for over 3 years. It wasn't a daily driver and rarely ever saw any rain though. On my daily driver Accord, I usually reapply every 6-8 months.

Most of us have a wax or sealant at the house already, and it will do a great job. I have Adam's Coating as well as a couple more and I believe that paint sealants such as Chemical Guys M-Seal or Jet Seal do just as good or better a job as dedicated glass sealants like RainX.

Have used rainx with rainx washer fluid on all previous vehicles (bmw & toyotas) with no issues with smearing or chattering. The new trico blades available at Walmart work very well also.
