My car is incapable of doing this so-called 'burnout', officer, In fact I think the whole things is a myth. I certainly have never seen one.

1. Hold the traction control button for 8 seconds 2. Put your foot on the brake and gas 3. Easy onto the throttle while you brake 4. Once the car stops moving, give it more gas but continue to hold the brake 5. Enjoy the smoke show

Ohhhh okay. I thought that that was how it's done but I remember saying holding the brake while accelerating was a bad idea. Don't remember where I read that but yea that's why I never tried it. But its hard to not want to do that when you drive an SS

Hi,
Nice!!! This is my first sportscar. How do you do it on a manual. I read you have the emergency brake up and don't keep the clutch in so the tires can move. If that's the way will it kill your emergency brake. Sorry for the elementary question, just wouldn't want to ruin my only car trying. I saw that corvette video that was posted and figured the guy had the clutch in the whole time. Kevin |

It is a bad idea for your rear brakes. Sure is fun though. Line locks are wonderful inventions.

Don't listen to them....I used to do burnouts in my old v6 mini van. Alot of today's cars will do some form of burnout with some coaxing lol.
