And another option I wanted to add was the gauges on the driver side pillar. Would that be worth it or should I just stick with the factory gauges? Also I have a manual transmission at what rpm should i be switching gears because I feel this car cannot go above 2700 rpm, and my first gear sounds like its grinding at around 15-20 mphs. I bought it pre owned with 5000 miles on it. let me know your opinions

Then do it again in second. If it can't do that then there is something wrong.
Ditto, if you can't do this get it looked at under warranty.

I would avoid AAC. Their products are known to have issues and their customer service doesn't exist.

^^^^this right here, I purchased quite a few products from them and some of them didnt work correctly. They had the audacity to tell me my car had wiring problems!! LMFAO, seriously??? It was brand new with 2k miles. All the stock stuff worked fine until i put their stuff in. Find a different company besides them. And too top it off, to get them to fix what was wrong was a PITA!! Good luck on your search, and welcome to C5.

I have a non-RS car that I put the GM RS lights in. This was before Ofer had his harness, so I used OttoBody adapter harness. Mine work fine and I haven't noticed any of the flickering that some complain about. I think Ofer offers two different adapter harness's on his web site, Gen5DIY.com. I think the cheaper one is just like the OttoBody harness. I think the more expensive one removes the DRL's from the HID's, but I'm not sure if it moves them to the fogs or not and if it does I'm not sure if you can still control the fogs with the switch. Maybe some one who has this harness can explain how it works. Also I don't think that anyone has mentioned that you have to remove your bumper cover to change your headlights. The bumper cover is the entire front of your car. It's not all that difficult, but it's a whole lot easier if you have 2 people and you need somewhere to put it where it wont get scratched, while you change the lights. Congrats and I hope this helps.

Thanks! Yeah I was reading up on how to change the headlights. My father is pretty good with stuff like that he's been restoring and doing his own work on cars since like 1978 haha
