ah GST.. I love it how we price things as if GST never existed. 13% = $7540.

Plus freight from Oshawa $1495.00

58000.0 + 7450.00 (tax) + 1495.00 =66945.00

MSRP never has, and never will be, the out the door price. If you're factoring how much the car will cost to you, you'll also have to figure in the cost of not just the sales tax but also the exise tax, plus license & registration fees, the cost of the loan interest, the options you plan on adding, the mods you plan on adding, fuel cost, insurance cost, maintenance cost, trade in value/depreciation, possible dealer markup or incentives, and the list goes on and on.

Point is, there are only 2 things that are going to be universal across the entire country for every single buyer: the manufacturers suggested retail price, and the destination fee. All other costs depend on where you live, what you plan on doing with the car, and what your financial and driving history is like.

And for the record ... GST isn't 13%, its 5%. PST + GST (or HST, which is essentially the same thing) can be 13%. But the PST varies from as little as 0% up to 10%. And sales taxes aren't unique to Canada either, the vast majority of states have them too.

Check with your dealers, I was just informed that GM Canada is finally figuring out allocations. This months allocations should be out next week.

Confirmed from my dealer $58,000 Cdn MSRP base.

I'd order the base only. Already comes with so much standard..

That pricing is not bad when you consider a 2ss vert is over 50 with just a few options.
