I've never used launch control. Granted, I haven't been comfortable enough with the transmission to even think about dropping the clutch or using launch control. Plus, I don't race so... no reason for it.

Update:
1st Trip: Replaced 1st gear and syncros. 2nd Trip: Replaced entire transmission. 3rd Trip: Replaced clutch (which REALLY irritated me because I told them to do that months ago and they all shook their heads at me and laughed, "it's not the clutch.") Looks like replacing the clutch worked... for now? I hope it sticks. Tried to get let out of my lease over this but they're convinced it's fixed now. I'll baby it through the winter and then think about autoxing it next season. I think (hope) that the dealership and chevy will stay good on their word to refund me two months of car payments as the car was in the shop for about that much time. We'll see. I do love this 1le, I really do. So hopefully everything is fixed now. I'm understandably a little suspicious that it is. *shrug* I'll spend the next little while upgrading the exterior
