6th gen, no V8????

So I was surfing the great world wide web yesterday looking for 6th gen info because i am due to sell my BMW in 2015. I have heard the 6th would be coming out around then. So ran across a article saying that the 6th gen could possibly not have a v8 option due to all the government restrictions on emissions and gas mileage and all. Has anyone else read anything like this? I lost the article cause I was a little busy, but wow....if there is any truth behind what I read then I may be dropping the Bimmer a little early...

i also heard that. i doubt it is true, i bet the v8 will cost way more than the v6 to try to keep production numbers down.

The 5.5L V8 in the next gen Vette (C7) will likely carry over to the next gen Camaro...

As long as there is gas, there will be V8s... economic lesson learned from the '70s

I dunno, by then we will probably have V6s pumping out the same numbers as current V8s.

If we continue down the nanny-state path we're on, the morale suppression team will eventually kill the V-8.

It is too far out to make any disputes on whether it does or not. Hell, nobody has heard what the pricing is going to be for the 2012 Camaro 2SS. Don't worry about it till the time gets closer.

A V-6's would have to be turboed, or supercharged........with warranty canceling bolt-ons and tuning to get the ft. lbs. of torque and HP close to the standard V-8.

Now that you V-6 folks have the performance..... you might need to repair that performance enhanced motor with money out of your own billfold!

When you think about it a V-8 doesn't sound bad and it is a SS!
