I don't think there was anything new really. The Woodward Dream Cruise came right on the heels of Camaro 5 Fest. I think all they did was show the same promotional material for the options list (blacked out bowtie, ground effects, etc.)

When I got there, the car was not open to sit in. I tried taking a photo of the inside but just got a reflection of the street off the window. The tent it was in was dark and not very well lit. It was starting to get dark out as a black cloud and 50mph wind gusts started. Sorry.

Does anyone know if the back seat got smaller? As a dad that has to pick up two little ones from school this is important. I mean they fit now in my Gen 5 perfectly, but just wondering if the new one is smaller.

Well it got smaller every way you can think of but not really.i think they got smaller according to the arabGT review they said its annoyingly small.but If your kids are under 170cm I don't think there will be a major issue.my car got even smaller back seats compared to camaro but my little brother his about 166 and he fits just fine

Ya the RS looks sleeker without the taller "mouth" and brake vents. Makes the SS look boaty at some angles. I think the Gen5/Bumblebee/Stingray cues work much better overall on the RS.

The RS vertical LEDs look more like the Cadillac LEDs, in most peoples opinion that equates to "quality"

Because there is aggressiveness all over it(except for the spoiler ) the side angles and the new muscle on the side of the facia make it look a thousand time more muscle car than the RS.the DRLs make a great combination with the headlights.i don't see anything more interesting than the SS in the RS

You know that is it, the mouth. I did not notice the ss had a taller mouth. Hmm if I could just get that 6.2 in a RS I would be one happy guy. I like the sleek aggressive look which is why I would never do like a racing splitter. |

If you are interested in buying an SS, the front end, splitter, grilles, brake cooling vents, etc. are a big part of what you are paying for. They are highly engineered for cooling, down-force, handling, etc....There is a lot more to them than mere appearance...
Slap on anything other than what the SS is designed for, and you may have problems or are defeating the purpose of what you paid good money for. Good luck. I wouldn't be in a hurry to make drastic changes until you give it a chance as is and become more familiar with the car in stock condition... |
