Borla Exhaust
I just ordered Borla Long Tube Headers and Bola ATAK Exhaust. I was wondering if I'm going to need a high flow cat or just a connection pipe if i want to remove the cat all together. Also how difficult is it to install the headers and exhaust? Is it something I can do in my garage? Will I need a tune for it as well? If I do will it hurt the car if I have to drive it to a tuning shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

In order to connect the headers to the catback exhaust, you are going to need a connection pipe. This pipe can either be a high flow cat or a straight pipe (catless). Exhaust is easy to install. Headers take a little more time and will be a lot easier if you have two people. Tune is not REQUIRED but its recommended. You are not getting the full power out of your modifications if you do not tune it. Running the headers and exhaust without the tune will not hurt the car. You will most likely have a check engine light but nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the advise it was a big help. What would be the best high flow cat or mid-pipe to fit this system?

Search for catback and header install in the DIY section. Nineball has done a very good job on both of those, with lots of pictures. All the questions you have are very basic and are easily found within this section. I always tell people to search for their answers because for every question we answer, you come up with 4 more. If you search and find your answer, chances are, you've already answered the questions that you didn't know about to begin with.

Can I get a video when this is done?! Have a ATAK catback now .. Looking at getting LT Headers for it next.. Just concerned about how raspy it would be.

http://youtu.be/u2pp87wF-T8 My car, full borla atak cat back and borla LT. You cant use high flow cats with borla LT without modification. IF I was to do it all over again, I would have went with kooks stepped 1 7/8ths. They come with a bung for a wideband.
