Headlights/RS Package Help!
I tried to find my exact problem on here but couldn’t seem to find anything.
I have a 2010 2SS with the RS package. When using the fob to unlock my car the passenger headlight won’t come on (halo is fine). When I get in and start the car and the auto lights come on, I have the same issue. Driver side headlight and halo work with no flaws. If I flip my switch a few times, then the light works on the passenger side. Obviously, the light isn’t burnt out like I had originally thought since flipping the switch works. What would cause just the headlight (not halo) to not automatically come on or even manually unless I flip the switch a few times? It’s a pain in my ass when driving at night, I always have to get out and check to make sure both are on before going anywhere lol. Also, for those that have replaced headlight bulbs what brand, store, part number, etc. do you recommend getting them from?

Sounds like you might have a bad ballast on that side.

I bought these to replace: https://www.amazon.ca/Philips-Automo...ve%2C80&sr=1-3
Philips, 4300K, D3S, 35 watt. Believe this is the factory/OEM bulb, or same thing. Not cheap at $75 (CAD) per bulb, but my dealer wanted $300 + tax per bulb Regarding the issue, guess for starters make sure the bulb is connected properly/securely as well as any connectors on the light/ballast.

yes, just as killboy said check your connections first. while you're at it smear a little silicone grease on the connections limits oxidation and repels water.

Thank you guys!! I was kind of thinking the same, but wasn’t sure. I’ll check the connections. If that’s good then I’ll look into a new ballast and hope my husband can replace it soon. Working a lot of hours and rarely home when I’m home with the car lol.
