The lowered version looks awesome. Wouldn't want it any other way. Not a fan of 4wd Camaro's like the 16 I have.

I track my cars all the time, I have an SCCA and NASA license as well, and I want the car lower, but hey, what do I know?

FYI: Lower car, equals lower centers of gravity, equals improved performance. Yes, it needs to be done right, and not everyone does. But, that is beyond the point. There is a reason supercars and race cars are so low...

Another FYI: GM is working on MRC compatible, track capable, lowering springs...

Say what? The wheel gap is there for a purpose yes, it's to keep the average Joe from scraping stuff if they aren't careful, but has absolutely nothing to do with scraping the splitter on a road course. If the road course you're running on has a hill like that, you need to find a new road course...I run with cars that are in some cases 2" off the ground, and they don't bottom out.

This I have to agree with, but most people that buy certain cars and truck don't use them for what they may be intended for. Just look at all the rednecks that buy pickups and hardly haul anything.

Would love to see either 1LE in DSOM with the hood, mirrors, and spoiler BVM.

Sorry!!!

Main color of the car Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic (the Vette color) with the hood, mirrors, and spoiler in Blue Velvet Metallic.

I think it will look sick and if it does when I get mine will probably pay out the ass to get it painted this way!!!!

So the base of this isn't a 1LE, but it should give you a decent idea. I wasn't sure if you meant the original DSOM or the new one, so I made both.

Of course, like with the 5thGen, I suspect most people buying this car will only be doing so for the cool factor, not because they'll ever drive it as it was engineered for. Thus why they want that lowered stance. Looks good at the car shows and cruise-ins where they will talk about the cars track ability based on some magazine drivers review, not their own experience.
So what exactly are you saying? Unless I have a SCCA license I shouldnt buy a 1LE? There are so many reasons I would buy a 1LE that have nothing to do with the track.
Get off your high horse and settle down! There are tons of Z28 available for you "True" road racers! Leave the 1LE to the lowly mortals.

Not at all. I'm just saying that a lot of the stuff you get with the 1LE option will never need to be used by 90% of buyers. Who needs heavy duty cooling if you never track the car?

FYI, it's the exact same heavy duty cooling components as the regular SS...

That wheel gap will get better once the suspension settles, not much, but probably noticeable.
