And their was certain people who said blah blah blah people won't recognize it as a new car and that everyone would just think it's the same old Camaro from 2010.

Very cool!! Start them young!! I plan on teaching my kids everything possible about cars when they get older. Oldest already helps in the garage, and she is only 2 year old.

Nice, been getting a lot of looks, and comments as well, was used to it from my 5th gen but those had began to dwindle, it definitely gives you a good feeling every time someone acknowledges you're ride and even more so when it's a kid. It doesn't seem to matter age thees cars are appreciated by all.

Let's keep today's kids interested for the next generation of drivers! People chuckle when they hear my son talk about my car or others in public, rattles off specs, models, trims , etc. Remember seeing the C7 st the auto show right when it came out couple years ago, some older guy was amazed and his jaw dropped when he was rattling off things about the car standing in front it! He is a hoot when he comes with me to the dealer when I go in for service or something.

I'd find the kids parents and give the keys to the dad and tell him to take us 3 for a loop. REALLY give the kid an awesome experience.

Amen!!!! those were the good days when the boulevard was filled on weekends racing up and down the streets here in NY. CB's/Walkie Talkies and the big ol K40 whip antennas hanging off the trunks. Brings back good memories! Just today i pulled over after a bird took a big poop on my car while i was at a stop light, i pulled over soon after and was cleaning it off as some young kids from a local school passed by and said "Nice car bro!", time i turned back to wipe the bird poop it was frozen solid on the hood already lol. Always nice to get compliments on your new baby!!!

love reading these stories man. so cool! nothing like the feeling when someone actually knows what type of car you're driving.

haven't seen any gen 6s over where i live and I should have mine by next week (if it doesn't show up this weekend) oh man it's gonna be a lot of fun driving through downtown I can already tell!

Awesome story! This is what got me interested in Camaros/trans ams. I was a mustang fan until I was 14 years old. Two brothers in my neighborhood got some 4th gen Camaros around 2000. They started heavily modifying them and the cars were so loud. I thought it was so cool. So one day I stopped by on my bike when they were outside and they were so nice to me. I ended up owning two f-bodies myself and now I've got a 6th gen. Forgot all about mustangs! lol

I will never forget all the fun and attention my 2010 model got back in 2009...now that was fun. I expect the 2016 to get some attention (good and some bad just like the "haters" did back in 2009) but not as much as much as my 2010 did.

Teach them about cars at a young age so they won't have time for anything else in the future . That kid will love it every time you come to see your parents now.
