Hello there, hope all is going well with you and yours!! All good here so far. Enjoying retirement the best I can, one day at a time! And wishing hurricane season was already over, but we are just now in the middle of it, and dodged a bullet again on the last one! Stay well, and enjoy!!

Good day Over the Hill Gang Thread, I would like to formally request to the Over the Hill Gang Thread Board members a Membership into this thread. I qualify in age and also own a Camaro.
If accepted, I would like to ask for advice on the subject of Retirement. I have been reading many books on the subject but thought what better source of information but from this thread. So my questions to begin are :
1) What advice do you have for those preparing to retire and then advice for those already in retirement.
2) Travel is one of the hobbies we plan to engage so we are open to sites or cities to visit you can offer. For example, we have on our list to make the GM Nationals in Carlisle , PN and then another Camaro event in South Dakota (black hills).

Looking forward to take some notes.

Welcome aboard. Activity here has slowed like with most of C5 sadly. As for retirement advice I'd say: 1) save as much as you can leading up to it, 2) move retirement savings into a low or no risk account, 3) retire as soon as you reasonably can, 4) look into Marketplace insurance if you want to retire before eligible for Medicare (just plug in what your retirement income will be, might just surprise you), And 5) Enjoy! Do what you want, when you want or do nothing at all, no alarm clock & no bosses or productivity expectations. Retirement rocks!

Good looking set-up! As a kid growing up in the '70s in N. Illinois (Rockford area) I always thought the guys with the plow trucks had the coolest rigs. Plenty of Blazers and pickups with heavy iron up front. Don't ever see that where I reside now.
