I'd find that hard to believe. Maybe in some aspects but the ride on PP was noticeable harsher. Doubt they will make the base cars ride like that. So it would have to be using softer springs/dampers than the old PP at least.

I'm just going off what Ford announced..that the old PP is basically the new base.

The old Mustang PP was barely on par with a regular SS. Even the V6 1LE was giving the Mustang a run for the money. I'd be really shocked if the 2018 Mustang PP1 is close to being on par with the SS 1LE. Maybe a step above a regular SS now. Pretty confident it will take the PP2 to match the 1LE. Regardless, even if the PP2 is faster, give it a few laps and it will probably go into limp mode because of the coolers it's missing, whereas the 1LE will keep pounding out lap after lap.

Ah ok I remember the press statement now. We will probably never know anyways what the base performs like b/c no one will do a numbers review on one.

I'd say the PP1 will be about the same as the regular SS and the PP2 might be slightly faster than the standard SS on a track but still slower than the SS 1LE. In a straight line I think the SS will be slightly faster.

Most people seem to think the PP1 is basically the same as the FRPP "track suspension" pack they put out which was a step above the old GT PP.
A step above a GT that was beat by a V6 1LE. Better be more than a step.

I thought my 15 sounded pretty decent when it was stock...for a stock V*. Once I added a catback to it tho it droned like crazy. It sounded good but the drone was unbearable.

It’s a little disappointing they didn’t wait until the PP2 was out. I don’t see them doing another H2H later on.

Agreed, this should be a SS v Mustang GTPP1 comparison. They are yet to do a H2H with the 1LE and a worthy competitor.

What cat back did you put on it. IMO Mustang's have always sounded good from the factory, just sometimes the volume was on the quiet side.

Agreed, but they probably had a PP1 car as their media car so figured might as well do it now while we have the car. I just hope its a M6 car and not a A10

The GT is a 6speed car I confirmed it with Lieberman. He did mention he has driven a 10 speed. So I'm sure we'll hear about it in the H2H if it doesn't make a guest appearance.
