Exhaust Flaps
Is it true that you can set the exhaust flaps to stay open in the setting menu of the 2018 ZL1 1LE?

Can you elaborate on this? I have heard the fuse pull works great and I have also been told it only works on Gen 5 ZL1, so can anyone confirm their personal experience with this on a Gen 6 ZL1. Thanks!

Can you share the exact fuse...I know it says exhaust. I think it was 51 or 52?
I pulled mine and got the engine lite on. Cant drive around with that lite on. Really a small enough change at low rpm's?

That said, the only real difference I noticed between “track” mode and fuse pulled was a little extra exhaust noise at cruising speeds. The flaps still close (at least partially) during light throttle driving above a certain speed. I wish GM had programmed track mode to stay completely open, but it is what it is. |

I drove mine that way for a few days. No issues, but I ended up putting it back in because there really isn't much difference, and the difference is only while cruising. I would rather be able to show new riders stealth mode over the insignificant gain in sound. You have to smash the go pedal to show off the true sound of the car anyway, which fully opens the valves until you slow back to a cruise.

You’re probably pulling the wrong fuse. There is a video on YouTube you can reference to make sure you’re pulling the right one.

I looked up the fuse in the owners manual, and it’s 51 in the engine compartment fuse box. On the 5th gen the exhaust control fuse was in the rear box.
