CAI and Intake scoop questions
Hey guys i installed the CAI intake a while back and i have a couple questions:
how much does the scoop(the one that makes you move the washer fluid bottle) effect performance/sound? my intake whistles for some reason. i was wondering if anyone else has/had this problem and how i could stop it.

The whistle is normal. I had a k&n on my old 2LT and it did the same thing. I thought it was cool, kinda sounded like a small turbo. And to answer your question about the scoop, it all depends on the climate you live in. If you live in a very hot environment, the intake isn't going to make a huge difference in performance. The scoop just prevents as much hot air from the engine being taken in as possible. The colder the air is outside the car, the better it will perform/sound. The scoop just helps keep the hot engine air out.

What he said plus moving the washer bottle out of the air box helps too. I have been pleased with mine since adding the washer bottle relocation & scoop. I added black iceolator at the same time though so can't really separate out the impact.
