Yup very true. But I see most people posting like even if the owner was a great driver they would still be faster.

D Class Beginners. The Cayman R had to point me by several times. This was my second track event, I don't know if this was the Cayman R owners first or what.

Most of the Boxsters and Caymans last weekend had to point me by. I went to Putnam with a friend who owns a Cayman. We didn't start close to each other until late on the second day. His Cayman is a base '09. We were very close in times. He was only a little faster in the twistys and I had him on the straights. I pointed him past me so as not to hold him up in the twistys.

My point was that a beginner in a 1LT can do very well against other beginners in cars that you'd think should do better.

There were two Z28s and two 1LEs at the track in the more advanced groups. I heard the porsche guys talking about seeing the camaros looming in their review mirrors and having to point them by.

I'm considering a 2017 1LE for next year.

Aqua Blue Metallic. They only built around 3900 in that color. It has an interesting personality and "plays" with the light. I ordered it sight unseen. When I saw it for the first time. I knew I had made the correct choice.
