ATS V + getting LS7
Maybe new track version of Camaro will get one as well to compete with GT350.. Maybe it's an updated LS7. It's an expensive engine so maybe they're just clearing out inventory if they have it built up. Wait and see I guess.
http://m.motortrend.com/wot/1505_cad...ls7_power.html Would be nice to see a new updated screamer from GM. |

Not likely. They would use the 6-speed manual if they did as they would have used the 7-speed in the Camaro if they could and a DCT isn't gonna happen.

Yeah, I found the 7 speed manual thing odd. Hopefully it's not some evil joke. Lol.

I'm a big LS guy due to simplicity and power potential. AFM is a worthless technology in my opinion and will be deleted upon purchase with a cam and valve train upgrade.
I'd love to see a 427ci LTx though. I know GM trademarked L88 at the same time they did the LT4 and LT5 nameplates. |

I'll believe it when I see it. The market for an ATS-V is pretty limited as it is. Very hard to believe that there'd be much interest in a V+.

I wish GM would make a Gen V version of the LS7. An LS7 with D.I. No AFM, a fatter cam, higher red line with Concentic Cam tech would be a beast of a motor.

This is exciting news! I'd consider trading my ZL1 for the ATS-V+. What appeals to me is the the power of the LS7 in the compact luxury ATS form factor.

ATS-V+ with LS7?
Anyone see this? Thought the LS7 was going out of production. Does this mean an LS7 for a possible 6th gen Z/28?

I've said this in a couple other threads where its been mentioned ... I find it extremely unlikely that an ATS-V+ will use an LS7. Its a great engine, but I can think of 4 scenarios that make more sense off the top of my head.

Thanks for moving. I agree I find it unlikely and there was no source for the info.
