I would like to see if the new SS would edge out the M4 with identical tire sizes.

Camaro has 245 front / 275 rear

M4 255 front / 275 rear

I'm pretty sure most BMW loyalists still look down their noses at Camaro. I don't think there is going to be much cross shopping to worry BMW.

Their bread and butter is the European market...they're really not that concerned with the Camaro, I assure you.

Being less than 15 minutes from the BMW Performance Center, I can say a lot of BMW fans are in the area. Not all of them are stuck up but some certainly are. To those who are they can turn their nose up at the backside of my 2017 1LE at track days. I can't wait to get out there and raise some eyebrows to those who won't know what the new 1LE's are capable of.

It was an odd mashup. A 2SS M6 vs M4 DCT with CCBs but missing all the "luxury" items and M adaptive suspension. Even a 1SS vs base M4 is still a matter of tens of thousands dollars difference in price.

A lot of them have already left the brand over since the last generation came out. They picked up the ATS and I know a few who got 1LE Camaros. The exodus from BMW performance cars will continue as they expand to more former Camry/Accord owners.
