Are the bonus quotas less for slow sales months or the same for every month?

The best month to buy is the one that the dealership is short one sale to make their bonus but GM can make it rain incentives at any time. In the past I've received $4000 private offers out of the blue.
I just received my Costco $700 cash card (that's a lot of Kirkland TP) from my Camaro purchase and am curious what the GM Card offer will be in a couple weeks. They didn't top me off last year but my truck lease ends mid-March so the timing might be right for a Silverado. |

The reason December works, OVER OTHER MONTHS, is because there are year end bonuses they come in the play for the general manager of the dealership and the owner. A lot of them are CSI and holdback related, and other things that salesman don't see. Of course , every month is hard close, but December ends several things that the manufacturer has going on that are not direct $ incentives. One is the simple year volume number he attains in the region and nation. So some of this is straight ego.

No one in the forum has reported any killer deal so far in December, some of the early October, when 20% tags first came out, smoking deals are still the winner so far. One reason could be far less 2016 inventory left on the lots.

Every month is new stackable head scratcher. One curious thing is that current incentives are strangely ending today, the 12th, not the Monday after the end of the month. There may be an EOY surprise coming tomorrow. |

Again , and this is the last time I'll post on this, I'm not talking about incentives. I'm talking about dealers who will take less for a car OUT OF THEIR MARGIN because they're trying to make a number, for A variety of reasons.
Pitch a sales manager in the last 10 days of the December with $500 less than the best that he's done so far, and there's a good chance he's going to call you back on the 28th and make the deal. |

Nothing special about December, certainly not even one of the best months to get the best deal. Current-year inventory is too low, the big push is always September and has been happening even earlier the past two years.

Agreed. He is trying to be helpful but things have changed a lot in very little time. Consumer Reports used to recommend the same thing.
