Gratz on the numbers! How does it drive?
Also I noticed you dont have pistons but did a cam swap? You are nearing the ~700whp limit of the motor Last edited by thescreensavers; 03-22-2017 at 11:32 PM. |

I almost forgot, the ZL1 comes stock with 6 pistons. I've got them now and they don't get soft at all...add on another few thousand. And real forged wheels vs. cheap knock-offs + it's warrantied out the door at 650hp and already has the injectors. I think I'm going to start crying now myself actually. If I had the ZL1 available to start with I would've used it as my canvas over the SS in a heartbeat. There's so much more there already that you need once you go above 600rwhp. If you're just comparing horsepower that's one thing, but you should really consider the full picture of safety, durability and the added tech we don't even have available. Even if you could do an apples to apples comparison, you can't beat the value of the ZL1 due to GM's ability to bundle everything into one mass produced package due to economies of scale. Sledge, you might want to get yourself a driveshaft loop as some cheap insurance in case you snap the stock part during a launch...it's cheap, will prevent injury to you and damage to your car, and you'll probably need it anyway if you ever track it.

In addition to owning a Camaro, I also have a highly customized 2016 wrangler. In the jeep community at least, its a pride thing to have built and not bought your rig. The level of customization you have is unique and you've created a knowledge and connection with your car that you probably wouldn't have had if you just bought it from some customization shop already done.
So forget what you could have bought and what would be better if it was factory or not. Enjoy what you've created, that's half the fun. |

We had cops... a couple of them... But these roads are private roads away from the city.

Matt, I know you had E85 and removed it. Have you done any fuel upgrades or did they mention if you were close to running out of Fuel?

We can tune the car for 100 and I have a station in town that sells it. But 10.85 a gallon for 30rwhp increase seems steep as I am saving pennies for fuel and bottom end. 100 doesn't cause the car to demand more fuel like e85 does. So it could be an inbetween while I wait.
