I have ringtone volume, media volume, notification volume and system volume all turned up to maximum on the phone and I still have to jack up the car volume to almost maximum to hear pandora.

None of those are the volume that will have an effect on pandora. Please see my post above.

Anyone know if we can load our own versions of Pandora apk on our droid units?

You'll need an apk that already had AA support enabled at least. Unless you are talking about using the myLink Pandora app which not sure if it would even work with a custom apk.

Ok so, have you tried to install a APK from a mem card or a bluetooth transfer?

On an Android phone, plenty of times. Sideloading is very easy to do with them.

my iPhone doesn't even work 90% of the time with pandora. chevy , apple, and android failed us all big time with these features. I have so many random glitches. When is this ever going to be addressed?

Only specifically asking about actually loading a APK on the physical Camaro head unit..... Not interested in a external droid device.

I use pandora with Bluetooth and my Galaxy and have no issues. I turn the phone all the way up and then the stereo is normal volume settings. Sounds like maybe your phone volume limitations more than the car.
