Light, Economical, Square Street Tire Setup

Is there such thing??? I had hoped to finish out this summer with the stock GY RFT tires, but karma has reared her ugly head and today when I went to swap out the winter tires I found a screw in one front tire. Unrepairable...

Now I am looking at $500+ for a new GY or making the plunge now for something totally different.

3 Options:

1. Replace GY RFT with GY RFT (I dislike the noise and stiff ride)

2. Replace all 4 GY with 4 new stock size tires. (PS4S = $$$$ or Firehawk 500 = $$)

3. Light, Economical, Square Street Tire Setup which keeps in mind I don't track (at least for another year) and I'd like to be able to rotate and pile on miles, but don't wanna lose too much performance. Light is nice too! I do love the FF01 in Sasparilla ($$$$$)

Is option 3 a pipe dream??

The car is a 2017 2SS 6M.

Buy the stock size in Firestone Indy 500s. Great tire.
About $1K to all four. Enjoy the new ride with them....then when you think you will track your car. Then go out and buy some nice wheels and tires.
If you go low cost on wheels now....they might not be up to track duty later. And you will have to buy all over again.

The money you will spend to get 4 low cost wheels/tires to go square will get you 3 sets of Firestones...lots of mileage there.

I really like my Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's. I got a great deal from DT locally. I had them match Wheelwarehouse and then got a couple of prepaid Visa cards. I would say the Firestones are a close 2nd, nothing compares for the price.

Well, I was convinced on the economics as presented by Bradford, but the true answer came in the form of low stock. There are no Firehawks to be found in the front sizing required and no ETA. Luckily, I was able to find a shop with the stock sized PS4S tires, so I had them installed today.

Thanks for the all the advice!

I like mine so far, but I can tell the sidewalls are softer. The turn in suffers some, but the grip seems to make up for it. It definitely takes sharp impacts better. I made it worse by going with 255/285, which in turn made the sidewall taller.
